Darkside Entertainment Music Group has had a vision to conglomerate and associate independent recording artists and companies worldwide to provide listeners and viewers with what's really going on inside the indie map.

 

Independently distributed; Darkside Entertainment Music Group has a vision to foster the growth of upcoming artists not only in the music and performing arts area, but also includes graphic and web designs, networking, promotions, event planning, manufacturing and distribution services.

History

Owned and operated by CAiN, Short Fuse, and Fuzzy J and the artists that appear on the early recordings from Dope Azz Productions (www.DopeAzz.com) such as MashFace aka HypnotiK, Joey Zazza, Madd Child aka DomestiK and Blazewun to name a few.

 

In 2002, a new birth was given to the image and Darkside Entertainment was born. Based in Canada as; Darkside Entertainment Music Canada.

 

We have worked with many artists and companies from the early beginnings which includes; Infinite, LockDown Entertainment, Blazenworx, QueKay Muzik, Soulock Studio, Smokeshop Records, Let Loose Entertainment, DJ's Depo, 2Rude, and Gambling House Recording Studio, and Dope Azz Productions to name the beginning.

 

The new Darkside Entertainment Music Jamaica, the company continues to work with up an coming artists; WALL$TREET, Rakell, Bridgez, Blessed Stephens and Juviee as well as platinum selling artists such as Capleton, Elephant Man, star producer Blaxxx, General B and Ghost and many more.

 

Started in the year 2000, Christopher 'Mat' Pinto also known in the entertainment community as "CAIN" pressed on in the growing urban music industry in Toronto Canada along with partners “Shortfuse” and “Fuzzy J”.

 

After leaving an education in Business Administration at Humber College in 2001, “Cain” went on to focus his efforts on publishing and building the Darkside Entertainment Music Group (DEMG) label.

 

The company Darkside Entertainment came about in the year 2002; two years after the birth of our first production and recording studio; Dope Azz Productions.

 

The organization has grown since then continuously making additions to their growing catalog of music and DVD releases from Toronto, ON Canada to Caribbean city of Kingston, Jamaica.

 

In 2004, Darkside Entertainment Music Group's founder Cain took a 3 year trip to Jamaica and created Gambling House Recording Studio with Kimani and Sadike Johnston from the group WALL$TREET. 

 

Darkside Entertainment Music Group has focused its efforts on the "entertainment economy" and linked distribution for its music in 2005 through Phantom Distribution/SDCD/CDBABY.

 

DEMG music is digitally distributed worldwide online through online retailers such as; iTunes, Napster, Raphsody and many others. DEMG works with SDCD and with Indie Pool Canada on digital, retail and radio distribution as well as duplication & manufacturing.

 

2007 marks the release of the "Eagle Eye Riddim" (Eagle Eye Medley) from Darkside Entertainment Music Jamaica/Caspa Productions. The music release and video consists of music and appearances from international recording artists; Capleton, Elephant Man, Ghost and General B.

 

The DVD release shows fans the television version and behind the scene cuts that were not released. The Eagle Eye DVD also features the EPK from Flim House artist Rakell with the song "If You Ready" which topped Jamaican RETV's MVP Charts at Number 1, 5 weeks in a row.

 

In 2009 D.E.M.G. branded the label with new artists such as Tex, Kingz Spade and Juvon Taylor on drum pounding instrumentals from in house artist/producers as well as banging productions from Naweed and Smokeshop Producitonz. KINGZSPADE, TEX & CAIN performed songs "Aint a Thang" and "My Way 2 Money"! in Montreal opening for Jamaican Reggae artist Munga Honorable and MTL's own Black Mob.

Dont forget we got Let Loose Films working hard in the video studio on our next song off our upcoming release from DEMG scheduled out for April 2010 "AINT A THANG" KINGZSPADE, TEX & CAIN (Let Loose Films) both Directed & Produced by Richard 'Sticky' Barrett 'RSB'!

Current & Future Plans

Today Darkside Entertainment is in the process of becoming incorporated as Darkside Entertainment Music Group Corporation. Pressing onward as an enterprise will further develop growth for the company, its employees, artists and affiliates.
